Each Sabbath is a blessing from the Lord and this one has been no different. Praise the Lord for His Goodness.
Pastor Ben was in the pulpit and his message brought before us the concept of - Behave.
The memorial for our Brother Robert Wickham was immediately after luncheon at the church. It was time to remember him and the influence of his life in our church. Thank you for all who took time to join us for this special service.
Sabbath afternoon was an opportunity to have a training meeting. As we are approaching our evangelistic meetings the need was felt for more time spend in preparation and James has graciously agreed to help us in this area.
Last week I did mention about the need for prayer for this common purpose. We did talk about this at Sabbath evening training meeting and we agree to have a time, 10-15 minutes, in prayer every Wednesday evening at 7PM. We propose these options : Two or three can get together at this time in person or over the phone and pray or each person can pray wherever they are at that moment. If you have better ideas please share, but regardless what option you like please pray.
For all the members near or far please set your reminders to pray with us on every Wednesday at 7PM for 10-15 minutes for:
Aiken SDA Church,
evangelistic meetings,
evangelist Pastor Veil,
James Sauve, our Bible Worker and his work in this area,

Each Sabbath is a blessing from the Lord and this one has been no different. Praise the Lord for His Goodness. Pastor Young was in the pulpit. He put before us one of important component of Christian life - Prayer. If you missed the message you are welcome to go on church website and listen to it. Our church plans for a big evangelistic event in January of 2018. Pastor Veil was with us in the afternoon for a period of training and discussion. Personally I am looking forward to upcoming meetings. I have come from this meeting with a strong urge that we, as a church, need to start a prayer team or group.
This is why I will like to propose to each one of you to have a dedicated time of prayer for the entire church when each of us will stop everything we do and pray for a length of time for our church. The needs are great, but God can supply, if only we ask Him. Truth is we cannot do it in our own, and personally I don’t want do do it in my own. Please join me to pray for willing workers and people who are searching to come and know our loving God. I will like to suggest Wednesday evening at 7 PM, but I welcome suggestions for what day of the week and time is the best to do it. Please let me know as soon as possible as we can start soon.
I will ask you to keep in prayer our evangelistic meetings coming in January and also our young Bible Worker James along with all the local and worldwide church needs.
Pray God will give you a safe and prosperous week filled with His blessings. Each Sabbath is a blessing from the Lord and this one has been no different. In some ways it has been a bitter sweet Sabbath. Don and Mary are moving away and this was the last official Sabbath they were with us. We do appreciate so much the service you give to our church here in Aiken. God had used both of you in a mighty way and you have blessed many souls in this area. You will be missed more that you know. We pray God will give you traveling mercies as you move with God’s leading.
Another sad news was about our brother Robert Wickham. He is at rest now. Pray God will bring comfort to his family and our church family.
Despite all these bitter news we had a beautiful and blessed time, feasting in His Word and enjoying the beautiful day.
Pray God will give you a safe and fruitful week filled with blessings. "Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves." 2 Cor. 13:5
