Prayer Requests and Praises

01/09/2021

Philippians 4:6-7

“Be not anxious for nothing, but in prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God, and the peace of God which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

PRAISES

Despite the challenges, we face every day, God has been good to us and kept us safe and sound thus far. We are grateful to be able to worship together as a church family while taking precautions such as wearing masks, avoiding hugs and hand shaking for now.

Praise the Lord for the Sabbath message by our Pastor Jeff Donaldson – “Love Your Enemies”, Matthew 5:43-48. When we let Jesus fill us with His agape love, then we shall be perfect as our Father in heaven is perfect. The message is available on church website as well as on church Facebook.

Praise the Lord for each of His mercies and His goodness endures forever.

Ann praises God that her cousin Vander Lee is out of his coma and relatives are moving him from Missouri to Virginia.

Prayers Requests:

Please continue to pray for our Aiken SDA Church families, church needs, our pastor, Pastor Jeff, and church leadership.

Pray for SDA Church at large: General Conference, Pastor Ted Wilson, and the leadership, Carolina Conference and its leaders, mission fields, different ministries doing God’s work to advance His Kingdom: Amazing Facts, Amazing Discoveries, It Is Written, Voice of Prophecy, Secrets Unsealed, etc.

Personal prayer requests from church family and friends:

Said’s Dad is having minor problems after his eye surgery. We need to pray that the surgery on the second eye will remedy the problem.

Lucky is asking prayer for family members who have COVID.

Joan asks for prayer for her beautician who is having medical problems.

Martha asks for prayer for Martin and Jean Gunner as Martin has brain tumors that cause him much distress.

Linda Wood asks for prayer for healing. She is recuperating from a fall last week. She also had a transfusion, but the doctors have not been able to pinpoint the cause of blood loss. Let us pray that God will give knowledge to the doctors to diagnose the problem correctly.

Ronda Smith was transferred to Pepper Hill Nursing Center. She can receive cards (no phone in room) at 3525 Augusta Road, NW, Room 419, Aiken, SC 29801. Keep Jimmy and family in your prayers.

Barney Brooks had a stroke and is in the Veterans Hospital in Augusta, GA. Pray that he will seek rehab when released. Keep Karyn Domingue and her family in your prayers as she takes care of her father.

Joan Muller is having severe back pains, let us pray for some relief.

Claudette Armentrout: Linda Wood, Tom Norris, Russell Kitchens, Ronda Smith, Lillian Alston, Gloria Clayton, Joan Muller, Lee Volkening, Larry Callahan, Ann Dicks, Connie Wise, Barney Brooks, Karyn Domingue & family, Sandy Owenby, Rosemarie Bossert, Leon and Robert Edinger, Anthony & Annette Patrick, as well as herself.

Pastor asks for traveling mercies for his wife and daughter as they travel to Andrews University.

We are praying for Said and Monica as they travel north to visit family and friends.

Please take time from your busy schedule to mention these prayer requests during your personal prayer time. Use the bulletin insert given earlier to write the names of people you are praying for and place the list in your Bible. This will give you the opportunity to pray for these names every time you open your Bible or during your devotional time. Be sure to thank God for answering prayers.

Please feel free to let Pastor Jeff, Elder Said Leon, or Ann know of your prayer requests.

Sometimes when pain and suffering enter our lives, we lose hope for a little while and wonder if God cares. Remember he has promised to never leave us nor forsake us. Rest and heal in His presence for He is upholding you with His righteous hands.

May God continue to bless you! Have a joyous and safe week.

Ann

“The greatest want of the world is the want for men – men who will not be bought or sold; men who in their inmost souls are true and honest; men who do not fear to call sin by its right name; men whose conscience is as true to duty as the needle to the pole; men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.” – E G. White
